LSU Vs. WVU: Michael Ford's Touchdown Run Puts Tigers Up 14-0

The Mountaineers offense has had trouble so far, with a lost fumble and an interception (after a Geno Smith pass bounced off someone and into the air for Brandon Taylor to catch) proving to be their undoing so far. And now they’ve got a 13-0 deficit to deal with.

Near the end of the first quarter, LSU began a drive that was led by runs from Spencer Ware and Michael Ford. Ford ended up making the last of those for a 22-yard scamper into the end zone with about two minutes left in the quarter. Drew Alleman missed the extra point.

It looks like this could be a very ugly game for the Mountaineers, who are now down two scores to a top-rated team, and showing few signs of being able to stick with them. The Mountaineers just fumbled yet again near the end of the quarter as well, although Shawne Alston recovered it.
