The penguins have been absolutely decimated by injuries so far this season, but there might be some hope on the horizon that they might soon be getting some of their players back as they head into a game against the Senators on Tuesday night. James Neal was all but ruled out of this game, but now according to a series of tweets, Neal took the ice for practice this morning.
BREAKING: James Neal, who has broken foot, is on ice for the Penguins' game-day skate. No word on whether prognosis/diagnosis has changed.

But it also seems that Neal's status for tonight's game may not have changed. Neal reportedly skated for a few minutes before leaving the ice and heading back to the locker room with the Penguins trainer. If he were in fact ready to return to the lineup, he probably would have been a much more equal participant in practice.
In more injury news Craig Adams was also able to return to the ice for practice today.
Penguins forward Craig Adams, who hurt a knee Sunday, also is on the ice at Consol Energy Center.
