ESPN's Joe Lunardi has released his latest version of Bracketology and it won't make Pitt fans very happy.
↵After starting the season ranked in the top 25, the Panthers now find themselves not only outside the rankings, but outside of Lunardi's projected field. Currently, he has the Panthers slotted as the first team in the "Next Four Out" category with St. Joseph's, Northwestern and Oklahoma coming in behind them. If Pitt wants to make the field, it's going to have to break its four-game losing streak soon, it would appear.
↵Penn State, now 9-8 after a loss against Indiana on Sunday, sits outside the projected field as well.
↵The only local team currently slotted in the bracket is West Virginia, picked by Lunardi to face No. 10 seed Temple as a No. 7 seed in Midwest Region. The game would take place in Columbus, Ohio. Top seeds in that region include No. 1 Kentucky, No. 2 Michigan State, No. 3 Missouri and No. 4 Connecticut.
