Sidney Crosby attends NHL meeting in Toronto

The NHL and NHLPA are scheduled to meet Thursday in Toronto to discuss the league's latest proposal and Sidney Crosby will be one of those representing the players at the meeting.

Crosby has been one of the more vocal players as the NHL tries to end the lockout -- as one of the league's brightest stars, the Pittsburgh Penguins' captain has the most to lose from a continued lockout or from a bad deal with the league. Josh Yohe of the Tribune-Review reported it wasn't clear how many players are at the meeting or how many teams are represented, but that Crosby is among them.

The league recently proposed a 50-50 revenue split with the players, revealing the full details of their proposal to the media on Wednesday. Although that proposal is a start, the NHLPA was not thrilled with it and is planning to make a counter-proposal at Thursday's meeting.
