The Duquesne Dukes host the Sacred Heart Pioneers on Saturday in Pittsburgh. The Dukes are off to a 4-2 start on the season, while Sacred Heart has struggled to a 2-4 record.
Duquesne suffered its first conference loss of the year last week against Central Connecticut State. That defeat snapped a seven-game Northeast Conference win streak for the Dukes. They will try to keep another streak alive, a nine-game string at home, when they face the Pioneers.
Sacred Heart got a non-conference win last week, defeating Dartmouth on the road. The Pioneers have won just one of their first three NEC games, and it came against Central Connecticut. Duquesne leads the all-time series, 5-2, against Sacred Heart. The Dukes have won three games in a row against the Pioneers.
The Dukes need a win to keep pace with conference-leading Albany. The Great Danes are 4-0 and are the only remaining team with an undefeated league record.
Game time, TV schedule: 12:10 p.m. ET, game can be streamed at GoDuquesne.com.
