Redskins vs. Steelers: Maurkice Pouncey 'absolutely' will play

Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey told Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review on Wednesday that he will absolutely be in the lineup for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Washington Redskins.

Pouncey missed Sunday night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a an MCL injury that he sustained against the Tennessee Titans in Week 6. The 23-year-old center left the game after the Steelers first offensive play when right tackle Marcus Gilbert rolled up onto his leg.

Despite being unable to return to the game, Pouncey was able to leave the field under his own power. Doug Legursky came into the game to replace Pouncey and started at center in Week 7 against the Bengals (Pouncey was listed as questionable for that game and was ultimately a game-time decision).

While Pouncey remained confident that he will play against the Redskins, he was still listed as questionable on the Steelers injury report on Tuesday.
