Big 12 scores: Kansas State routs Texas Tech; Oklahoma falls to Notre Dame

Kansas State had another huge game, solidifying its position at the top of the Big 12.

The WVU Mountaineers were off this week, but here's a glance at what happened around the rest of the Big 12.

The brilliant Kansas State Wildcats kept rolling after their rout of West Virginia last week, beating the Mountaineers' previous opponent, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 55-24. K-State's Collin Klein had two touchdowns through the air and two on the ground, while Eric Ward had 161 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Red Raiders. No. 14 Texas Tech will take a bit of a tumble in the rankings this week.

No. 8 Oklahoma, meanwhile, fell to No. 5 Notre Dame. The Notre Dame defense bent but didn't break, allowing Landry Jones to pass for 356 yards but rarely giving the Sooners a clean shot at the end zone. Meanwhile, Theo Riddick, Cierre Wood and Everett Golson all had rushing touchdowns for the Irish.

No. 23 Texas needed a last-minute rally to beat 1-7 Kansas, 21-17, with Case McCoy throwing the game-winning touchdown to D.J. Grant with 12 seconds remaining.

Oklahoma State whipped TCU, 36-14, as Joseph Randle rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown and Wes Lunt passed for 324 yards.

Steele Jantz had a huge day as Iowa State beat Baylor, 35-21. Jantz threw for 381 yards on 52 attempts, with five touchdowns and one interception. Baylor is still winless in Big 12 play.
