The Pittsburgh Steelers and their faithful fans have to be feeling good after their 27-12 beating of the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon in Heinz Field.
While many players performed well, a few standouts include corner Keenan Lewis and safety Will Allen, according to Dave Bryan SteelersDepot.com.
Lewis played one of the better games in his young career, breaking up three passes, including one that appeared to be a sure touchdown for Aldrick Robinson had Lewis not gotten his hand in the way.
Despite being the man in coverage on Santana Moss's touchdown reception, Lewis was solid throughout.
Allen also showed up in a big way for the injured Troy Polamalu. The strong safety was everywhere, defending a trio of passes and also recording five tackles.
Pittsburgh will be hoping for the same time of effort from both Allen and Lewis next week when the Steelers travel to play the defending-champion New York Giants.
