Louisville continued its undefeated season with a 34-31 overtime win against the Cincinnati Bearcats Saturday. At 8-0 overall and 3-0 in Big East play, the Cardinals improved to No. 12 in this week's SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25.
Louisville moved up four spots in this week's rankings. The Cardinals are a half game behind Rutgers (7-1, 4-0) in the Big East standings, with the teams set to meet in the regular-season finale Thursday, Nov. 29. Rutgers dropped out of this week's BlogPoll rankings after a 35-23 home loss to Kent State.
West Virginia was off in Week 9 after losing consecutive games against Texas Tech and Kansas State. The Mountaineers moved improved two spots to No. 23.
Alabama is once again ranked No. 1. The Crimson Tide strengthened their hold on the top spot after a 38-7 win over previously unbeaten Mississippi State. With a 55-24 win over Texas Tech, Kansas State moved up to No. 2. Florida, last week's second-ranked team, fell to No. 7 after a 17-9 defeat at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs.
