Penn State vs. Indiana: Kyle Carter injury to cost him rest of season

Penn State tight end Kyle Carter will miss the remainder of the season due to an injured right hand, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Carter had originally been listed as out for the team's game against Indiana on Saturday, but O'Brien later confirmed that he would also be unavailable for the team's regular-season finale against Wisconsin on Nov. 24.

The hand injury is the most recent development in an unfortunate stretch for Carter. He was forced to miss the team's game against Purdue on Nov. 3 due to an ankle injury and sustained the hand injury in the team's most recent game against Nebraska. In total, he will miss three of the team's final four games.

The redshirt freshman is second on the team in receptions with 36 in addition to compiling 453 receiving yards, which is also second most on the team. Carter has also caught two touchdowns this season.
