A big game for Matt McGloin and the Penn State offense led to a 45-22 win over Indiana Saturday, although the Nittany Lions also lost leader Michael Mauti in the process.
Mauti was injured when an Indiana lineman fell into his knee. The extent of Mauti's injury is unknown, but he was on the sideline late in the game, not wearing his uniform.
Matt McGloin just missed passing for 400 yards, ending up with 397 after passing for 365 through the first three quarters. Zach Zwinak, too, came up big, running 29 times for 133 yards and a score. And Allen Robinson had 10 catches for 192 yards and three touchdowns. Penn State's offensive line also deserves a heap of credit, opening big holes for Zwinak and the running game and giving McGloin plenty of time to throw.
Cameron Coffman passed for 454 yards for the Hoosiers, even more than McGloin got for Penn State, in a losing effort.
Penn State is now 7-4 with a 5-2 record in the Big Ten heading into its season finale against Wisconsin.
