Perhaps the two best teams in the Big Ten conference won't be eligible to play in its championship game.
The Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions have been excellent in conference play. Ohio State has been revitalized under Urban Meyer, posting a 7-0 Big Ten record and 11-0 overall.
Penn State was considered by many to become one of the worst teams in the nation following the Jerry Sandusky scandal, but that hasn't happened. First year man Bill O'Brien has done incredibly well, leading the Nittany Lions to a great year (5-2, 7-4).
In the Legends division, the Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-1, 9-2) are leading the way under fiery head coach Bo Pelini. The Michigan Wolverines (6-1, 8-3) are also having a solid campaign after a rough start with Denard Robinson under center.
