The West Virginia Mountaineers lost their fifth straight game on Saturday but are still projected to play in a bowl game.
Both SB Nation's Jason Kirk and ESPN's bowl projections have the Mountaineers playing in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Both projections also have the Mountaineers playing the Syracuse Orange. Jerry Palm of CBS Sports projects West Virginia to face UCLA in the Alamo Bowl.
The Pinstripe Bowl, which will be played on December 29, is a matchup between the No. 7 team in the Big 12 and the No. 4 team in the Big East. The Alamo Bowl is also scheduled for December 29. It matches up the No. 3 team from the Big 12 against the No. 2 team from the Pac-12.
At 4-6, the Pittsburgh Panthers can become bowl-eligible if they win their final two games, but none of the current projections have the Panthers playing in a bowl game.
