Steelers vs. Browns 2012: Game preview, kickoff time, TV schedule and more

Third-string QB Charlie Batch starts for the Steelers against Cleveland in Week 12

Grant Halverson

Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder. Byron Leftwich's ribs. Charlie Batch's right arm. Only one of these body parts will be good enough to go for Pittsburgh as the Steelers travel to fellow AFC North inhabitant Cleveland on Sunday. And it's the right arm of Batch, Pittsburgh's third-string quarterback. Batch will make his first start of the 2012 season, and just his seventh since 2003.

The 6-4 Steelers are coming off a 13-10 loss to rival Baltimore, with Leftwich unable to produce enough offense to back up a solid defensive performance. The loss ended a four-game winning streak for Pittsburgh. The 2-8 Browns have lost three of four after a stunning 23-20 overtime loss to the Cowboys that saw them blow a 13-0 halftime lead.

Despite their record, the Browns have played teams close, giving Baltimore two scares and actually leading the New York Giants by 10 in the second quarter. Throw in a narrow loss to Indianapolis, and the Browns could be a popular upset pick this week. Counting against Cleveland is the fact that the Browns haven't defeated the Steelers since 2009, when they won 13-6 in Week 14 at home.

These two teams will play again in Week 17 to close out the 2012 season.

The Steelers are 5-2 in games started by Charlie Batch.
