The Ravens are driving at the end of the first quarter against Baltimore, but the Steelers are clinging to a 3-0 lead in what was, overall, a promising quarter for Pittsburgh.
Charlie Batch, looking considerably sharper than he did last week in a loss to the Browns, and new starting running back Jonathan Dwyer led a first-quarter drive that resulted in a perfect 46-yard field goal by Shaun Suisham. (And let's give it up for Suisham, by the way -- he's now 22-for-23 this season.) Meanwhile, the Steelers defense shut down Joe Flacco and the Ravens.
Batch went 5-of-8 for 30 yards in the first quarter. Dwyer had five runs for 25 yards. Flacco had gone 8-of-14 with 62 yards, as of early in the second quarter.
Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter. Cortez Allen replaced him.
UPDATE: As I finish writing, the Ravens kicked a field goal to tie the game early in the second quarter.
