The Pittsburgh Steelers' Shaun Suisham was recognized for his hard work last week against the Baltimore Ravens, as he was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, according to Mike Bires.
Suisham was terrific all afternoon, connecting on three field goals, including the 42-yard game-winner as time expired on a stunned Baltimore team.
This wasn't the first time this season that Suisham has had a flair for the dramatic. In October, with the Steelers facing a must-win against the Philadelphia Eagles, Suisham knocked through another clutch kick as time ran out to secure a victory at Heinz Field.
Suisham has been the unsung hero of Pittsburgh, hitting 24-of-25 field goal attempts this year, including nine from the distance of 40-49 yards. Over the course of 2012, Suisham has had five games of three or more successful field goals.
The Bowling Green product's only miss came on Oct. 11 against the Tennessee Titans.
