Pitt defensive lineman Aaron Donald had a big game against South Florida last weekend. The junior tackle recorded five tackles, four tackles for loss, and a sack in helping the Panthers hold the Bulls to only three points.

This week, Donald was rewarded for his strong play with the Big East Defensive Player of the Week Award.

Donald has not only had a big week, but he's having a big season. His 18 1/2 sacks are the best in the Big East and rank sixth in the entire nation. The junior said earlier that he's not thinking about leaving early for the NFL Draft, but you've got to think it will be a bit tempting for him, particularly if early projections have him being taken fairly high.

In addition to Donald, Pitt punter Matt Yoklic was named to the Honor Roll for consideration for the Special Teams Player of the Week award. Yoklic averaged more than 45 yards per punt in the South Florida game.
