The Big XII announced it's All-Big XII team, and two West Virginia Mountaineers players made the first team. Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey both made the first team as receivers, and Austin also made the first team as a return man.
Austin also earned an individual award, as the conference named him and Oklahoma St. Cowboys kicker Quinn Sharp as the Co-Special Teams Players of the Year.
Austin and Bailey both had impressive receiving statistics this season. Austin led the team in receptions, grabbing 110 catches for 1259 yards and 12 toucdowns. Austin also scored a touchdown on a kick-off as well as a punt return this season. Bailey had four less receptions than Austin, but compiled 1501 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Bailey and Austin are not the only two players from the Mountaineers sixth-ranked offense to receive honors. Geno Smith made the second team, as did lineman Joe Madsen. Karl Joseph and Ryan Nehlen received honorable mentions.
