Penguins Vs. Flyers Score Update: Pittsburgh Trails 2-1 After First Period

The Pittsburgh Penguins traveled across the state to take on the Philadelphia Flyers in the Wells Fargo Center. After the first period of play, the Penguins trail the Flyers 2-1 thanks to two goals by a former Penguin. Pittsburgh took the early lead on an unassisted Matt Cooke goal, his tenth of the season.

It didn't take long for the Flyers to strike however, as former Penguins star Jaromir Jagr scored his first goal of the game a few minutes later. Shortly after that, Jagr scored his second goal of the game to give the Flyers the 2-1 lead. Jagr's second goal came on a power play thanks to a Jordan Staal holding penalty. Jagr's power play goal was assisted by Claude Giroux and Kimmo Timonen.
