With the 2012 Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament set to begin Thursday, here's a look at the matchups and schedule.
Quarterfinals - March 1 (all games at 7:00 PM)
No. 8 Sacred Heart vs. No. 1 Long Island
No. 7 Central Connecticut vs. No. 2 Wagner
No. 6 Monmouth vs. No. 3 Robert Morris
No. 5 Quinnipiac vs. No. 4 St. Francis (NY)
That St. Francis isn't the one near Ebensburg, which is also in the Northeast Conference but which didn't make the tournament. Confusing!
Robert Morris and Monmouth last faced off January 21, when the Colonials won in overtime 81-73. RMU also beat Monmouth by 18 points on December 3.
Semifinals - March 4
Lowest remaining seed at highest remaining seed, 12:00 or 6:00 PM
Third remaining seed at second remaining seed, 12:00 or 6:00 PM
The championship game will take place on Wednesday, March 7 at 7:00 PM and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
