Guard T.J. McConnell only made his transfer from Duquesne official on Tuesday, but the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Paul Zeise is hearing the rising junior may have already scouted out a place he'd like to land.
Tuscon is obviously a hike from Pittsburgh, but the Wildcats are coached by Sean Miller, a Chippewa native and former guard turned assistant coach a Pitt, so the connection doesn't seem so farfetched.
We've already talked about the possibility of McConnell heading to Penn State, where he'd be a pretty good fit, here at SB Nation Pittsburgh. The Nittany Lions, with four scholarships to fill by the end of the 2012 recruiting period, should be interested, but McConnell's interest is a different story. If this report is any indication, coach Pat Chambers might have to sell Happy Valley a little bit if he does, in fact, want McConnell in blue and white.
For the latest on the T.J. McConnell transfer and Duquesne basketball, be sure to stay tuned to SB Nation Pittsburgh.
