According to this report from Colin Dunlap, Duquesne will fire head basketball coach Ron Everhart at some point on Friday.
Just received word from someone inside Duquesne athletic dept that said Ron Everhart is expected to be fired at Duquesne later today.

This is a somewhat expected result, based on the way the Dukes finished the season and the transfers that are leaving the program after this season. When star guard T.J. McConnell elected to transfer, that might have been the final nail in the coffin. As we wrote a few days ago on SB Nation Pittsburgh, it appeared that Everhart had peaked with the Duquesne program.
While the program has improved tremendously under Everhart's watch, it appears as if the program has reached its peak of development. The Dukes have won an average of 17 games the past five seasons. That is a respectable number, but it's far from being an NCAA Tournament-caliber team. Since the Dukes haven't been to the tourney since 1977, the fan base is eager more than ever for a return. Unfortunately, Everhart hasn't been able to produce one under his tenure.
We still have to wait for additional confirmation from the University or from Everhart himself that the two parties have elected to part ways. We'll have the latest info here at SB Nation Pittsburgh.
