After the first half, the Robert Morris Colonials are down 39-31 against the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds in the Northeast Conference Championship.
The Colonials were able to hold the Blackbirds throughout much of the first half, but with about eight minutes left to play, LIU scored 11 straight points, seven of them by Jamal Olasewere. By the time there were five minutes left, they led by nine. Robert Morris was able to close the gap a bit from there, but a Brandon Thompson three-pointer as the last few seconds of the half ticked away gave the Blackbirds a 39-31 lead.
Olasewere leads all scorers with 10 points for the Blackbirds. Julian Boyd has six points and seven rebounds, while Jason Brickman has six points and seven assists. For Robert Morris, Coron Williams has eight points, and Lijah Thompson has four points and five rebounds.
