Flyers Vs. Penguins Lineup, Game 1: Matt Niskanen Out For Pittsburgh, Danny Briere, Nicklas Grossmann Back For Philadelphia

With Game 1 on the NHL playoff series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers, the Flyers will get a boost to their lines with the return of Danny Briere and Nicklas Grossmann to the lineup. Both players missed time towards the end of the season for Philadelphia, but will be ready and playing on Wednesday evening for the Flyers.

Briere missed a week towards the end of the season with a back injury he suffered at the hands of Penguins Joe Vitale. A brawl ensued after the hit between the two rivals, so there is sure to be some animosity early in the series. Grossmann was also injured by Vitale in an accidental knee-on-knee hit and the injury was originally feared as serious, but Grossmann will be ready for the playoffs and will wear a knee brace.

On the other hand for Pittsburgh, Matt Niskanen missed the morning skate and will be out of the lineup.
