2012 NFL Draft Grades: Steelers Get A Surprising 'B' From SB Nation For David DeCastro

The Pittsburgh Steelers took Stanford guard David DeCastro with the No. 24 in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft on Thursday a pick that was met by some pretty positive reviews. Nobody thought DeCastro would be around when the Steelers picked, but there he was, and the Steelers ended up with one of the best guard prospects in recent memory. But it's not a very sexy position, and maybe that's why the guys at SB Nation gave the Steelers a "B" in their 2012 NFL Draft Grades.

David DeCastro is such a sure-thing. Love this pick. Team him with Maurkice Pouncey and that interior offensive line looks elite.

Guard was arguably the biggest need for the Steelers, and they filled it with the best prospect still on the board. I don't know how this can't be anything but a solid win for the Steelers, to be honest. But guard doesn't get a lot of attention, really, so maybe the Steelers' excellent draft pick will go largely unnoticed. Here is some more on the Steelers pick and the rest of the AFC North from SB Nation on Youtube.
