2012 NFL Draft Results: Mike Adams To Help Steelers Solidify Offensive Line

After taking Stanford's David DeCastro in the first round, the Steelers will pick another offensive lineman in the second round, Mark Kaboly reports.

#Steelers take Ohio State OL Mike Adams with 2nd-round pick

Adams will provide depth at tackle. The Steelers have Marcus Gilbert and Max Starks, and Willie Colon is coming back from injury, but they don't have much depth there. Adams might not be a typical Steelers pick, due to the fact that marijuana use is considered a character issue (and whatever you might think about marijuana, you've got to be pretty dumb to test positive for that drug at the NFL Combine), but he's a good pick in terms of value -- many NFL mock drafts had him as a first-round pick. Adams is a huge player at 6-foot-8 and is a big talent, but he needs to show consistency.

In any case, the Steelers have arguably turned their offensive line from a weakness into a strength, with DeCastro, Adams, Gilbert and Maurkice Pouncey.
