The Pittsburgh Penguins took a major step towards locking up the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win against the Boston Bruins earlier this week, but they still have some difficult match ups on the schedule. Most notable a potential Playoff preview with the New York Rangers on Thursday. The game starts at 7 pm and can be found on the NBC Sports Network or Fox Pittsburgh.
The Rangers are the top seed in the Eastern Conference heading into the Playoffs which means that if the Penguins lock up the No. 4 seed and both teams advance through the first round of competition, they will face each other in the second round. A matchup that has to rank among the best the second round of the Playoffs can possibly produce. We will get a preview of that potential matchup on Thursday.
