2012 Masters Update: Lee Westwood Holds One Stroke Lead After Round One

The first round of the 2012 Masters is in the books and the leader is not one of the presumptive favorites. Even though Lee Westwood is the No. 3 ranked golfer in the World, he hasn't had a lot of success at Augusta National in the past so he wasn't one of the popular choices heading into the week, but Westwood was absolutely on fire on Thursday and shot a 5-under 67 to lead the pack. Louis Oosthuizen is one stroke behind him at 4-under par.

Tiger Woods had an eventful but ultimately unproductive day, as he finished up his first round at the same level to par as he started it. He was errant of the tee all day and spent most of the day in scrambling mode. He made a handful of birdies, but the back nine caught up with him and he finished the day with a 72.
