2012 Players Championship Scoring Update: Tiger Woods Finishes First Round With A Two-Over 74

Tiger Woods struggled through his first round at the 2012 Players Championship. Woods began the first round by bogeying two of the first three holes, but he managed to birdie hole No. 2 and finished the front nine holes at one-over.

At hole No. 10 on the back nine, Woods bogeyed to drop him to two-over. Woods had two birdies and bogeys over the last six holes to finish with 74 strokes. This first round gives Woods a high hill to climb tomorrow as he stands nine strokes back of current first round leader Ian Poulter who shot a seven-under 65.

Woods currently stands tied for 116th in the overall standings along with Hunter Mahan.
