2013 NFL Mock Draft: Matt Barkley Leads Group Of Talented Seniors

The 2012 NFL Draft was highlighted by the two quarterbacks going at the top of the board for the first time in a decade. The 2013 NFL Draft could be remembered for the same reason. Mocking The Draft has come out with their list of the top ten seniors who will be eligible for the draft, and it is led by three very talented quarterbacks. The best of them is Matt Barkley of USC.

Barkley is probably the leader of the pack for the 2013 Heisman Trophy. He would have been a top ten pick in the 2012 NFL Draft if he decided to skip his senior season at USC. By staying in school he will get his degree and also have a chance to help his top ranked team win a National Championship plus perhaps become the number one selection in the 2013 NFL Draft. Barkley is an exceptional talent playing QB.

The other quarterbacks on this list are Landry Jones of Oklahoma and Tyler Wilson of Arkansas. This doesn't even include underclassmen quarterbacks who could be very high picks as well like Tennessee's Tyler Bray or Logan Thomas of Virginia Tech. Two teams got their franchise quarterbacks in 2012, a handful more could get that opportunity in 2013.
