I'll Have Another will not face opposition from rival horse Bodemeister in the 2012 Belmont Stakes, as trainer Bob Baffert announced that Bodemeister will not run in the final leg of the Triple Crown on June 9.

Baffert said the decision was made before Bodemeister's run in the Belmont Stakes.

"I wasn't going to go, win lose or draw," he said. "I've run him pretty hard."

This is good news for I'll Have Another, as Bodemeister was the favorite in Saturday's Preakness Stakes and had been the main competitor for I'll Have Another in both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness, leading for most of both races.
