2012 Triple Crown: I'll Have Another May Face Tough Opposition At Belmont Stakes

While I'll Have Another will more than likely be the favorite at the 2012 Belmont Stakes, his attempt at the Triple Crown will not be without worthy opposition.

The Seattle P-I's article about the projected field reports that Dullahan and Union Rags are expected to run after taking the Preakness off. The two horses finished third and seventh respectively in the Kentucky Derby.

Doug O'Neil, the trainer for both horses in addition to I'll Have Another, is confident that one or both of the horses have a chance at contending. O'Neil also says that I'll Have Another is still in great shape after the Preakness.

"We're ready to go, too," he said outside his barn at Pimlico before leaving for California. "Our horse came out of this race in great shape and as long as he stays injury free we've got a big, big chance."

The lineup for the race will be named in the coming weeks.
