Kentucky Derby 2012 Winner: I'll Have Another Pulls Ahead In Final Length To Win Derby

I'll Have Another has won the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby. Coming into the race favored at 12-1 odds, I'll Have Another managed to battle up from the 19th starting position to beat out heavy favorite, Bodemeister in the final 300 yards of the race.

Prior to I'll Have Another's dramatic come from behind, Bodemeister had set the track record through the first five lengths and was sprinting head-to-head with Trinniberg, arguably the best sprinter in the race. With the favorites being Bodemesiter at 6-1 odds and Union Rags at 9-2 odds, few pointed to I'll Have Another as a possible winner.
