2012 U.S. Open contenders Tiger Woods and Michael Thompson began their second rounds at The Olympic Club Friday afternoon as the two duel at the top of the leaderboard. The two are now tied for the lead at minus one, along with Jim Furyk.
Thompson is failing miserably after a hot start on Thursday, as he is three-over par for his first four holes on Friday. Tiger has held steady at minus one, shooting par on his first two holes. Furyk has been stead both days, shooting even par on Thursday and shooting one-under on Friday.
Many golfers continue to struggle including Rickie Fowler, who sits at plus eight after a miserable day of shooting six-over on Friday.
