Belmont Stakes 2012 Odds: I'll Have Another Opens At 4-To-5

In the first odds released after the post positions for the Belmont Stakes were announced, I'll Have Another, looking to break the 34-year Triple Crown drought, opened up at 4-to-5 for Saturday's race. Despite starting in the No. 11 post, Matt Gardner at And Down The Stretch They Come thinks that should be an advantage for I'll Have Another.

I'll Have Another drew post position #11 which should suit him just fine and keep him out in the clear in the early stages of the race. In the Derby and the Preakness, I'll Have Another relaxed quite well when running in the three or four path, allowing jockey Mario Gutierrez to settle him into a good rhythm in the early stages.

Other notable odds for horses in the Belmont Stakes include Dullahan at 5-to-1, Union Rags at 6-to-1 and Paynter at 8-to-1. Street Life, starting from the No. 1 post has the next best odds at 12-to-1. Every other horse in the event has odds at 30-to-1 or worse.

Here are the rest of the odds.
