French Open Results: Rafael Nadal Cruises Past David Ferrer

No. 2 Rafael Nadal breezed past No. 6 David Ferrer in the first men's semifinal of the 2012 French Open, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1. Nadal has defeated all of his opponents thus far in straight sets.

The victory over Ferrer makes this Nadal's seventh final at Roland Garros in eight years. The Spaniard has never lost a French Open Final.

On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 1 Novak Djokovic and No. 3 Roger Federer have just begun play (currently on NBC) in the other semifinal. The winner will try to prevent Nadal from winning his seventh French Open title and breaking the record he currently shares with Bjorn Borg.
