Pirates Vs. Milwaukee: TV Schedule, Start Time, Other Game Info

The NL Central Division-leading Pittsburgh Pirates start the second half of the 2012 MLB season on the road Friday night against division foe and defending NL Central champs the Milwaukee Brewers. TV coverage of the game begins at 8 p.m. on Root Sports, with the first pitch scheduled around 8:10. Fans can also follow the action on radio at KDKA-FM 93.7.

The Pirates will send pitching standout James McDonald to the mound. He will go up against the Brewers ace Zack Greinke in what should be a strong pitching duel. McDonald comes into the game with a 9-3 record and an impressive 2.37 ERA. Greinke is also 9-3 on the year, but his ERA is almost a run higher at 3.32.

This is only the second time these two teams have met this year. They played each other earlier in the year in Milwaukee, with the Pirates winning two out of three. The Pirates are 11 games over .500, at 48-37, entering the second half of the year. Milwaukee starts the second half in fourth place in the NL Central, five and a half behind third-place St. Louis and eight games behind the division-leading Bucs.
