Alex Presley Injury: Pirates Outfielder Expected To Return From Concussion Injury On Tuesday

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Alex Presley is expected to return early next week from a concussion injury. He sustained the concussion while diving for a ball in a game against the Houston Astros. According to Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Presley will begin a Triple-A rehab assignment this weekend and should join the Bucs in Colorado for their series with the Rockies on Tuesday. Presley said he has not had any recurring concussion symptoms:

"I feel good," Presley said Friday. "I haven't had any symptoms for a few days, and I didn't hold back anything (in workouts)."

Presley has hit pretty well since being recalled from Indianapolis at the beginning of June. He re-joined the team in Cincinnati for a pivotal series against the Reds that seemed to propel the Bucs to a successful month. PIttsburgh starts the second half with a one game lead over the Reds in the NL Central.
