2012 London Olympics: Look For Cassidy Krug To Make A Splash

Cassidy Krug may have attended college on the West Coast at Stanford, but Coraoplis, PA native will proudly represent the Pittsburgh area at the 2012 London Olympics. Raised by parents who are diving coaches, her father, Julian, is the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh while her mom, Dorothy, coaches at the Pittsburgh Aquatic club.

Cassidy will compete in the 3m springboard diving competition in London after winning the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Krug is also a 10-time diving national champion in the 3-meter which she won in 2007, 2010 and twice in 2011, the synchronized 3-meter which she won in 2005, 2007, 2010 and twice in 2011.

During the 2011 Pan American Games, Krug won silver in the 3-meter and bronze in the synchronized 3-meter.

She has also won National Championships in college on the 1-meter and 3-meter in 2007 and was a three-time Pennsylvania high school state champion in the 1-meter.
