2012 London Olympics: Team USA Defeats Spain In Pre-Olympic Tune-Up, 100-78

Team USA moved to 5-0 in pre-Olympic friendly matches this summer as they defeated Spain in Barcelona on Tuesday by a final score of 100-78.

Carmelo Anthony came off the bench and scored 27 points in the game -- 23 points in the first half -- to help the Americans overcome the team that gave them a scare in the gold medal game during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

LeBron James contributed 25 points to the Team USA cause while Kevin Durant scored 13 points, 10 of those coming in the first three minutes of the third quarter which helped break the game open.

For Spain, Pau Gasol scored 19 points and Serge Ibaka, who became a Spanish national last year contributed 16 points.

The U.S. and Spain have been paired in opposite Olympic pools and likely won't meet again until the elimination round.
