2012 London Olympics: Allison Schmitt Predicted To Take Home Gold

The city of Pittsburgh doesn't have many athletes represented in the 2012 London Olympics, but Allison Schmitt is sure to represent the city well in the pool. Brian Cazenueve of Sports Illustrated predicted the finishes of every Olympic event and predicted that Schmitt would come home with the gold in one of her two individual events.

Cazenueve also predicted that the United States swimming team would win silver in both the 4x100-meter freestyle and 4x200-meter freestyle relays. If true, Schmitt would take home three medals, although Cazenueve predicted her not to place in the 400-meter freestyle.

Also representing the Pittsburgh area is Jake Herbert of the 84 kilogram wrestling competition, whom Cazenueve predicts will also find the medal podium. In wrestling, there are two bronze medals given in individual play and Herbert is predicted to earn one of the two medals in his competition.
