The waiting game continues.
Forward Zach Parise, one of the most sought-after free agents in NHL history, was in Minnesota on Tuesday afternoon, visiting his home state, accompanied by his fiancée Alisha, according to the Star Tribune.
The Wild are among a number of suitors that include the Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers and the New Jersey Devils, the only team he's played for and who drafted him as a rookie in 2003.
"There's a lot of things to factor into it and I think that's why we're taking our time with the decision," Parise told the Star Tribune. "It's not something we can just make at 1 o'clock on July 1. It takes time to make sure you consider everything and you're doing the right thing."
A contract for the New Jersey Devils captain is expected nearly $100 million and last from 10-12 years.
