London 2012 Olympics Medal Count: Team USA Slightly Behind China With 29 Medals

After five days of competition the United States have found themselves in second place for the total medal count in the 2012 Summer Olympics. The U.S. was tied with China on Tuesday, but now sit just one medal behind.

The U.S. Women's rowing team also took home a bronze medal on Wednesday in the quadruple sculls while Danell Leyva took home a bronze medal in the men's all-around gymnastics.

The United States won gold in the Men's 100m freestyle thanks to Nathan Adrian, who won in a thriller. The U.S. Women's swim team also medaled in the 4x200m freestyle event.
