Steelers Training Camp: Conditioning Coach Expects Mike Wallace To Report 'Pretty Soon'

With the Steelers' first preseason game already in the books, Mike Wallace's holdout from the team's training camp in Latrobe is getting progressively more worrisome for fans.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's Alan Robinson tweets, however, that Wallace's conditioning coach Tom Shaw expects the wideout to report to camp "pretty soon." Shaw runs training facilities at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Walt Disney World, where Robinson tweets Wallace has been working out.

Robinson also quotes Shaw disputing media reports that Wallace is looking for a massive new contract with the Steelers.

"Totally false that he wants a $100 million, $50 million contract." Says such talk is why Wallace not talking to media."

With that in mind, it seems the team and its star wide receiver might not be quite as far apart as many have feared throughout the offseason.
