A sentence uttered Sunday by Anthony Lubrano of the Penn State Board of Trustees ranks pretty highly on the list of eye-opening sentences uttered so far about the scandal that has engulfed the football program.
↵↵↵"Joe Paterno has more integrity in his little finger than the @NCAA President has in his entire body" PSU Trustee Anthony Lubrano
↵
Not that the NCAA's integrity impresses me much, but wow. Paterno's lengthy tenure at Penn State earned him lots of loyalty, but one would think that the body of evidence suggesting that he helped cover up Jerry Sandusky's crimes against children would give pause to a high-profile supporter like Lubrano.
↵Lubrano was also upset that new Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien was consulted about the NCAA's sanctions before they were handed down, but that he was not. (There may have been concern about Lubrano leaking the NCAA's intentions, Ben Jones suggests.)
