Isaac Redman Scheduled For MRI For Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his injured groin, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Redman initially sustained the injury during a night practice on Aug. 3 and has been forced to miss some practice time since.

Despite the injury, the 27-year-old back was able to play in the Steelers' first preseason game at Lincoln Financial Field against the Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday. Redman finished the game with five carries for a total of 14 yards rushing, in addition to two receptions for four yards receiving.

Since being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Bowie State in 2009, Redman has registered 726 rushing yards (162 attempts), 150 receiving yards (27 receptions) and five total touchdowns in 33 career games with the Steelers.
