Madden 13 Player Ratings: Steelers' Troy Polamalu Among Top Defensive Players

The Steelers' Troy Polamalu ranks among the top 10 defensive players in this year's edition of the Madden franchise, with an overall rating of 97. Much depends upon Polamalu's health at this stage, of course, but when he's 100 percent, it's hard to argue that he's not among the league's best defenders. Polamalu was named the AP Defensive Player of the Year following the 2010 season.

No other Steelers rank in the top 10. Darrelle Revis of the Jets ranks first with a 99, and Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware also gets a 99. Patrick Willis and Justin Smith of the 49ers and Jared Allen of the Vikings get 98s. After that, Julius Peppers of the Bears, Haloti Ngata and Ed Reed of the Ravens, and Mario Williams of the Bills all get 97s.
