Pittsburgh Steelers RB Isaac Redman underwent an MRI for what he thought was an injured groin, but the MRI revealed that the injury was actually to Redman's hip.
Redman suffered the injury on Aug. 3 and has missed some practice time. He was able to play in the Steelers' preseason opener, but missed their game against the Colts on Sunday night. With starting RB Rashard Mendenhall expected to miss the start of the season as he recovers from a torn ACL, Redman's health is all the more important.
Redman says he's getting better every day, but it remains to be seen if he will suit up for the Steelers' third preseason game against the Bills on Saturday. Jonathan Dwyer and Chris Rainey currently back up Redman and will carry the load until he returns. Running back John Clay was already waived this preseason.
