Pirates Promote Jeff Clement, Send Yamaico Navarro To Indianapolis

As the Pirates try to gain back one of the two wild card spots, Jeff Clement will be in the dugout on Friday. He will be making his season debut for the team.

Clement last played for the Pirates in 2010. In Triple-A this season, Clement was hitting .276 with 16 home runs and 57 RBI in 112 games.

Neil Walker has been batting an injury to his finger, and Clement might be asked to fill in at second place if Walker can't go. He has, however, started the last three games.

Navarro appeared in 29 games this season for Pittsburgh. The infielder was hitting .160 with one home run and four RBI.
