Behind The Steel Curtain lists its "winners" in the Steelers' preseason rout of the Bills on Sunday. Unfortunately, the biggest winner is unquestionably offensive lineman Trai Essex, who now has a roster spot in sight after rookie and first-round pick David DeCastro suffered a serious injury during the game. (Ramon Foster will move into DeCastro's starting spot.)
↵Another winner, and for better reasons, is fellow offensive lineman Mike Adams, who played much better after a shaky start to his preseason, including a terrible outing in the Steelers' first preseason game, against the Eagles. Safety Robert Golden, who's received plenty of buzz so far this preseason, increased the volume yet again with another interception Saturday. Another player who's received some buzz is kicker Danny Hrapmann, who hit another field goal, this one from 40 yards out, to go to 6-for-6 on the preseason. He's still behind Shaun Suisham on the depth chart, however.
